Privacy policy

Updated 28 Oct 2026
The short versionThe camera works on your phone, and no video of you is ever stored or sent. There are no accounts. The app sends us anonymous facts about how it's played and whether it crashed, and it records purchases and which ads brought people to the game. We never sell your information.

This policy explains how 2c98 Inc. ("we", "us") handles information in the Sweat Frenzy app and on sweatfrenzy.com. It covers Sweat Frenzy on iPhone and iPad, and any version we offer later on other platforms, such as Google Play; if a version uses different services, we'll list them here before it's released.

1. The camera

Sweat Frenzy needs your device's front camera to play. It uses Apple's on-device body tracking (the Vision framework) to find where your head, hands and feet are, many times a second, so your animal can copy your jumps, ducks and steps.

  • Every frame is read on your device and thrown away. No picture or video of you is stored, and none is ever sent to us, to our service providers, or to anyone else.
  • The body positions the tracker finds stay on your device too. They're used to judge your moves in the moment and are not kept.
  • When you play a friend online, only your moves, hits and scores are sent to the other phone, never camera pictures.
  • JOIN A ROOM can use the back camera to read a friend's room code. The code is read on your device and no picture is kept.

2. Your moment

At the end of a match the app makes a 5-second "moment": a clip of the last hurdle with the game on top and your camera below. During a round the app holds only the last few seconds in memory. At the end it writes the clip as a temporary file on your device, which is deleted when you leave the results (or the next time the app opens, if it was closed on the results).

The clip leaves your device only if you tap SHARE (it goes where you choose in the system share sheet, under that app's own terms) or SAVE (it goes into your Photos library, which asks for permission to add photos). We never receive it.

3. What stays on your device

The app keeps a few things on your device so it works the way you left it: your sound and music settings, the holiday look switch, the friends you've raced before (your "crew"), the last game you picked, and the answers described below about your age range and Apple Ads. They never leave your device as such, and deleting the app deletes them.

On iOS and iPadOS 26 and later, the app can ask the system for your age range (Declared Age Range). The answer stays on your device and is only used to decide whether features for playing strangers are shown. Those features are off today; when they come, they'll be for players 13 and older.

4. What the app collects, and why

There are no accounts, and we never ask for your name, email, phone number, contacts or photos. What the app does send is not linked to your identity: it's tied to random identifiers that each service creates for your install of the app.

WhatExamplesWhy
How the game is playedScreens opened; rounds started and finished, with the game, mode, number of players, length, outcome, score, move counts and the calorie estimate; whether a moment was shared (and to which kind of app) or saved; whether the camera was allowed; invites sent and codes entered (never the codes themselves)To see what's fun, what's confusing and what's broken, and to make the game better
Crashes and diagnosticsCrash reports with the app and system version, device model and what the app was doing when it crashedTo find and fix crashes
PurchasesWhich character or pack was bought, its price and currency, and the App Store's record of the purchaseTo unlock what you bought on all your devices, restore it, and count sales
Which ad brought youWhether your install came from one of our Apple Ads or Meta ad campaigns, and which campaignTo know which of our ads work, so we spend less on the ones that don't
Device and app informationDevice model, system version, app version, language, and an approximate location (country or city) worked out from your network (IP) addressTo make the service work, and to read the numbers above by device and country

Never collected: camera pictures or video, body tracking data, your name, your Game Center player id, your contacts, your party codes, or anything you type.

Test versions of the app (TestFlight) send crash reports to Crashlytics and game events to PostHog, marked as test builds, and nothing to Google Analytics or Meta.

5. The services we use

These companies process information for us as service providers. Each has its own privacy policy.

  • Google Firebase (Google LLC): Google Analytics for Firebase for game events, in App Store versions only, with data sharing, ads personalization and Google Signals turned off; Crashlytics for crash reports; Remote Config to switch features on or off; and App Check, which uses Apple's App Attest to confirm requests come from the real app. Google's privacy policy.
  • PostHog (PostHog, Inc., US servers): product analytics for game events. Session recording, screenshots and automatic capture are turned off, and always will be: they could show the camera preview. PostHog's privacy policy.
  • RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc.): handles in-app purchases with the App Store and keeps the record of what your install has bought. It also receives Apple's Apple Ads attribution token and the anonymous PostHog id, so purchases can be matched to the right install and campaign. RevenueCat's privacy policy.
  • Apple: the App Store and its payment system, Game Center (below), and AdServices, which tells the app once whether the install came from an Apple Ads campaign. Apple handles payment; we never see your card. Apple's privacy policy.
  • Meta (Meta Platforms, Inc.): App Store versions of the app include, or will soon include, Meta's software development kit to measure our ads on Facebook and Instagram. It tells Meta when the app is installed and opened and about a few events (finishing rounds, sharing a moment, a purchase), with device information. It doesn't use your device's advertising identifier, and it's turned off for players Game Center reports as under age. Meta's own privacy policy covers what it does with this information.

6. Game Center and playing online

FRIENDS and the leaderboards use Apple's Game Center, under Apple's Game Center privacy terms. If you sign in to Game Center:

  • Your Spiral Drop scores, and the character you played as, go on Game Center's leaderboards, where your Game Center friends can see them with your Game Center name.
  • In FRIENDS, Game Center connects your device with your friend's. The two copies of the game exchange what's needed to play: which game and character, the moves each player makes, hits and misses, and scores. Your friend sees your Game Center name and photo. Nothing goes through our servers, and we don't receive it.
  • The app keeps a list of friends you've raced on your device so you can invite them again. It's never sent to us.

7. Features that are off today

Some features are built but switched off. If we turn them on, this is how they work:

  • Public leaderboards and ghost races. A finished JUST YOU or online Spiral Drop run (its score, the timing of its moves and hits, your character, the week, the country of your App Store account and, if you choose one, your US state) is sent to our Firebase database (Cloud Firestore), checked, and shown on public boards under a made-up name like "BOUNCY SHEEP 21". Other players may race a recording of the run's moves (never video). The app signs in to Firebase Authentication anonymously, or with your Game Center sign-in so your entry follows you to a new device.
  • Playing strangers. Matchmaking through Game Center, for players 13 and older only. Strangers would see a made-up name, never your Game Center name or photo.
  • Challenge links. A link you share that carries a score, a character and a name you choose inside the link itself, so a friend can play the same course.

8. Ads and tracking

There are no ads in Sweat Frenzy. The app never asks for permission to track you, and doesn't read your device's advertising identifier. We do advertise the game elsewhere, and measure those ads with Apple Ads attribution and Meta's measurement tools, as described above. We don't sell your information, and we don't share it with data brokers.

9. Children

Sweat Frenzy is a game for everyone, families included, and it isn't in the App Store's Kids category. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children: the app asks no one for a name, email or contact details, and it has no chat and no way for strangers to message anyone. Meta's measurement is off for players Game Center reports as under age, and playing strangers, when it comes, will be for 13 and older only. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email us and we'll delete it.

10. How long we keep it

Only as long as it helps us run and improve the game. Google Analytics deletes game events after 14 months, and crash reports are kept for about 90 days. Purchase records are kept as long as they're needed to restore what you bought and for our accounts. Anything kept on your device is deleted with the app.

11. Your choices and rights

  • Stop it all: deleting the app stops everything it sends and deletes everything it kept on your device.
  • Camera and Photos: you can turn camera or Photos access off at any time in your device's Settings.
  • Game Center: manage or sign out of Game Center in your device's Settings, and manage your Apple data at privacy.apple.com.
  • Ask us: depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete information about you, to object to how we use it, to opt out of its use for advertising, and to complain to your data protection authority. Email us at support@sweatfrenzy.com. Because we don't have accounts and the data isn't linked to you, we may not be able to find information that's only tied to an install; we'll tell you what we can do. See Your data.

Where the law asks for a legal basis (for example in the EU and UK), we rely on our legitimate interests in running, improving, securing and promoting the game for analytics, crash reports and ad measurement, and on performing our agreement with you for purchases and online play.

12. Where it's processed

We and our service providers are based in the United States and may process information there and in other countries. Where the law requires it, these transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

13. Security

The app talks to our service providers over encrypted connections, and the camera never leaves the device. No system is perfectly secure, but collecting as little as we do is the best protection we have.

14. This website

sweatfrenzy.com uses no cookies, no analytics and no trackers. Our web host keeps standard server logs (your IP address, browser and the page asked for) to deliver the site and keep it safe. Challenge pages (sweatfrenzy.com/c/…) show the score, character and name that are inside the link itself; we don't store them.

15. Changes

If the app starts collecting something new, we'll update this policy first, with a new date at the top. For important changes we'll also say so in the app's release notes.
